I love making complicated topics easy to understand, and I have an endless supply of curiosity, which helps me learn what resonates with the people you want to reach.
The most common unsolicited feedback I receive from clients is some variation of, “you just GET us.” My specialty? I have a knack for understanding what they need to say and what's getting in their way.
I work on subjects that align with my education and career experience, including the environment, health, infrastructure, and technology. The breadth of my experience makes it easier for me to connect dots and bring a fresh perspective, no matter the subject or what I’m doing with the words.

My government experience showed me how written communication affects what senior leaders can achieve. I learned that easy-to-understand documents can make the difference between a worthwhile proposal being fully funded or cast aside in favour of a better written pitch. My journalism training constantly teaches me that what's simple to one person sounds like jargon to the next. The common thread? Audience matters.
I earned a master’s degree in journalism, a master’s degree in environmental studies, and a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. My journalism has been published in the Globe and Mail, Broadview magazine, Canada’s National Observer, The Signal, Capital magazine, and SOLutions magazine.
More than 40 clients served, including government departments, Crown corporations, private sector businesses, and non-profit organizations
including general and specialty audiences on topics such as technology, healthcare, transportation infrastructure, and the environment
with a favourite punctuation mark—the em dash—and opinions about the Oxford comma (it’s good thing, I promise)
